Bathtub Refinishing In Overland Park, KS / All America Fine Finishes
Cory & Jill Howell
We hired All America Fine Finishes to refinish our porcelain bathtub after months of research and many conversations with other companies. Ken was by far the most professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy person we met, he consulted with us on other aspects of our bathroom remodel and was flexible and accommodating with our schedule. We found that the price was the best in KC, as was the 10-year warranty. Ken and Scott's work was outstanding and we are overjoyed with our 'new' bathtub.

My experience with Ken and All American Fine Finishes is even underrated at 5 Stars. The product, service, professionalism, advice and work were fantastic.
I called on All American during a refinishing project that was happening with another company. I have been working on the house for over a month with a long list of improvements, upgrades, and maintenance. I've had at least a dozen contractors in and out of the house over the past month and only had one very bad experience with a remodeling contractor. When working with Miracle Method I ran into a lot of problems with communication and the product. In the end, the product was marginal at best and overall unsatisfactory. At one point during the process with Miracle Method, my neighbor came over to look at the shower. It was 100% complete according to them, with the exception that they were coming back in 2 days to hang the shower door. The floor had so many jagged edges and sharp spots that when she ran her hand across the floor of the shower, she pulled her hand back and had a visible scratch. Miracle Method technician told me that he did not sand the floor to help add some "non-stick" property. My response was that a child couldn't shower safely in there and asked the office to come out to inspect it. When they did they changed their story that they had in sanded down the floor and it must have been debris from the popcorn ceiling that must have dried on the floor. The entire area - double vanity and shower was textured to the touch, in some areas very rough (like sandpaper) and with a dull sheen. I was told the areas will work themselves out over the next couple of years as the paint thins and the texture calms.
I called All American Fine Finishes to see if they can do the job and if the finished product would look like the samples given. The answer is YES. They did, they can, and they were much more reasonable than the other company. They should have been my first choice (I just didn't know about them until it was too late). The product looks amazing, it looks like marble and Ken & Dave were a pleasure to have in the house. Hands and feet down, they get 6 stars. Due to time constraints on my end, they also worked on a weekend to bail me out of the jam. I can't say enough wonderful things about this company and the work they do.
Edited/Added - I felt it was important to mention that Ken was helpful with advice when I called him while having problems with the original company. His advice and knowledge was very matter of fact and professional. In fact, he really didn't want to step in to do his work because although the prior job was not up to par, the other work would have lasted for a while. However, my level of trust in his knowledge kept increasing (especially when things said were echoed by a professional plumber who was completely independent of AAFF). So I knew then that he wasn't trying to get unnecessary work or say anything negative about the other business, he was being honest.
I am so happy with the work... I can't wait to show it off to the neighbors. :-)
